As a result of declining passenger numbers, Route 816 continues to be uneconomic to operate.

It is with regret that we wish to confirm we will be discontinuing this service effective from November 30th 2024.

Kilkenny Stop Update -Sept 8th

6/09/24Route 600 – Kilkenny Stop Update Sept 8th

Please note that on Sunday September 8th, Ormond Road bus stop in Kilkenny will be closed between 08:00 – 17:00.

Only the McDonagh Junction stop will be in operation during that time.

The following services will be affected:

From Cork: 07:05 09:05 11:05 13:05 15:05
From Dublin: 08:00 10:00 12:00 14:00

Route 300 & 600 Sept 5th

5/09/24Burgh Quay – Temporary Bus Stop September 5th

Please note that Burgh Quay East will be closed again on Thursday September 5th from 19:30 to facilitate road resurfacing.

Our bus stops will be inaccessible on Thursday September 5th between 19:30 and midnight. During this time we will operate from a temporary bus stop further down Burgh Quay nearer to O’Connell Bridge.

On Friday morning, September 6th, our bus stops will operate as normal from the first service.

Half The Fare For 19-25 Year Olds & Students

We are delighted that we are in a position to accept Young Adult and Student Leap Cards. That means you can enjoy 50% off travel with a valid Young Adult (19-25) or Student Leap Card.

This offer applies to full price single, return and multi-journey tickets.

 Here are some sample fares which you can enjoy when you book one of our multi journey tickets online:

  • €2.00 per trip from Ennis to Limerick.
  • €2.50 per trip from Kildare to Dublin 
  • €2.00 per trip from Kilkenny to Waterford 

The Young Adult (19-25) Leap Card is available to all 19 to 25 year olds.

The Student Leap Card is only available for students in full time third level education who are either 16 -18 years of age or 26 years and above. Eligibility criteria are set out in more detail on the Leap Card website  Young Adult and Student Card – Leap Card

Fares

Due to rising costs, we have had to adjust some of our fares. Students can still enjoy 50% off travel on all of our fares with a valid Young Adult (19-23) or Student Leap Card.

Our excellent value multi-journey fares remain unchanged.

All new fares can be viewed on our Timetables & Fares pages.

New fares become effective from August 30th. Any tickets bought in advance of this date for future travel will still be valid.

Route 300 - Killarney - Temporary Bus Stop Change

5/07/24Route 300 – Killarney – Temporary Bus Stop – July 6th

Please note that Saturday July 6th is the Annual Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle. As a result, our Killarney stop on Mission Road will not be in operation on that day.

All services to and from Killarney will operate from a temporary bus stop on Rock Road beside the Coach Park.

Route 300 & 600 - Dublin City Centre - Bus Stop Change

26/06/24Route 300 & 600 – Temporary Bus Stop Dublin City Centre – June 29th

Please note that the Dublin Pride Parade will be taking place on Saturday June 29th 2024. There will be a number of road closures around Dublin City Centre which may cause some delays to all services throughout the day.

Please note that between 12:00 – 14:00, a temporary bus stop will operate from outside the Dublin County Council offices on Wood Quay.

This will affect passengers travelling on the following services;

12:00 Cork

12:15 Tralee

12:45 Ennis

13:15 Killarney

13:45 Ennis

14:00 Cork

Route 600 - Waterford City - Bus Stop Change

21/06/24Route 600 – Waterford City – Temporary Bus Stop – June 23rd

Please note that the Waterford City Marathon will be taking place this Sunday June 23rd.

As a result, our bus stop at Merchants Quay in Waterford will not be accessible between 6AM and 2PM on Sunday June 23rd.

During this time we will be operating a temporary bus stop outside Treacy’s Hotel on Bridge Street.

WIT bus stops will operate as normal all day.
